What DualData is
DualData is our platform for publishing interactive 3D models in the browser. It has two parts: a viewer, which shows the model with information attached to its components, and an editor the client's own team uses to prepare the content without writing code.
No plugins, no installation. It works on desktop, tablet and phone.
Two ways to use it
In information mode you click a component and read its specifications, documents and data sheets. This is for machinery documentation, product catalogues, facility management.
In training mode the model walks the user through a procedure step by step: safety, maintenance, starting up a machine. Instructions that take twenty pages on paper become a sequence you follow on the model.
The editor
The editor is made for people who are not 3D specialists. Import the model, attach information and documents to components, build procedures with visual annotations. All from a graphical interface.
Where we have used it
Manufacturing: interactive technical documentation for machinery, safety manuals, operating procedures.
Real estate: property tours with finishes and technical features visible on the model.
Heritage: digital reconstructions of historic buildings. The reconstruction of Scurcola Abbey is published as an interactive demo.
